Report on Internet Freedom and Online Safety in Uganda

Speak Out Uganda, an online portal that supports various freedom of expression campaigns in Uganda acquired funding from Web We Want to conduct training for activists and bloggers in Uganda.

The training is due in January was preceded by the survey to map needs and threats that activists in Uganda face when it comes to online freedom of expression.

This research was to find out trends in Internet use by activists, bloggers and journalists, what they perceive as threats to online and offline freedom of expression
in Uganda.

This survey was carried out both on and offline between November 18 and December 25 2013. A total of 35 people took part in this survey.
